The Ukrainian National Track Championships which were due to be held on 26 and 27 November at The Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales in Newport have been postponed due to a delay in visas being issued for the elite riders and supporting team.
At this stage the event organisers are unable to confirm when the event will take place. They are optimistic that the championships will take place before the end of the year, enabling their elite riders to compete in their 2022 National Track Championships.
Steve Ward, Chief Executive Office of Newport Live said “It’s disappointing to learn that the event organisers have had to postpone The Ukrainian National Track Championships due to a delay in visas being issued. However, our Newport Live team will continue to work with the event organisers and our partners to help bring this prestigious event to The Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales hopefully, before the end of the year.”
Once new dates have been confirmed for the Ukrainian Track Championships the event will be publicised and tickets will go back on sale to enable the public to support this event. All ticket holders for the event will be contacted to advise that the event has been postponed.
