This spring The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre has developed the Arts Hub, an online listing platform to help people find our more about arts and creative activities across Newport.

They are now reaching out to local artists and organisations to join the Hub to highlight Newport’s diverse arts scene and all it has to offer.

Fondly described as a ‘Yellow Pages’ for the arts in Newport, the Hub was created to highlight and promote local artists, groups and arts organisations. It is free to register and add your creative listing which will be displayed under a range of categories to make it easier for the public to find what they are looking for.

The Hub may be at early stages of population, but already features members including Operasonic, Ballet Cymru, COBRA Music Studio, Phrame Wales, Newport Writers Group, Live Music Now and artist and photographer Kate Mercer.

The Riverfront would like to include as many of their partners and local organisations as possible on the Arts Hub and build a database of arts resources that will help the people of Newport to stay connected with the arts and creativity at a time where face to face contact is limited. There is so much wonderful work happening from a range of amazing organisations and they want to make it easier for individuals to be able to find it and enjoy it.

Once the Hub is full of listings the Riverfront will be promoting it widely to the general public, also benefiting the organisations and individuals listed. The campaign will include digital promotion through The Riverfront and Newport Live social media channels, emails and paid digital advertising as well as a physical mail campaign and press coverage. A selection of listings will also be featured on the TV screens across all Newport Live sites, and a section of the next Riverfront season brochure will be dedicated to the Hub and some of its members.

If you are an artist, local theatre, cultural organisation, freelance practitioner, run creative workshops, a local festival or help communities across Newport get involved in the arts and creativity, then the Riverfront needs you!

Join the Arts Hub now at https://hub.newportlive.co.uk/register/ and sign up as a new participant.

You will then be able to create your own account and fill in your hub listing, which features the opportunity to describe who you are, what you do and add links to your website and how they can contact you. The sign-up process takes less than 5 minutes to complete, and once it has been approved will be live online for everyone to explore.

You can explore the Hub and all of its current members here.

If you have any questions or would like any more information on the Hub and the benefits of joining contact the Riverfront team on hub@newportlive.co.uk

The Arts Hub was made possible thanks to a successful application to the Arts Council Wales’ Stabilisation Fund for Organisation.
