Community Sport, Arts & Wellbeing

We know that taking part in sport, physical activity and arts activities has a positive impact on people's lives, so our teams strive to make a difference by co-ordinating projects for schools, families, clubs and other groups across the city and beyond.

Our Community Sport & Wellbeing Department includes over 30 staff that are externally grant and contract funded to deliver projects, programmes, and early interventions through, Sports Development, Positive Futures, Health and Wellbeing, Alternative Education, Equality and Inclusion.

Our Arts Development team works in schools and communities with many 3rd sector arts projects and groups, providing opportunities at The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre as well as across the city of Newport.
