Riders must arrive for their session at least 30 minutes before it begins allowing time to prep the equipment and themselves for the session.
Before the session begins, all participants must check in at the Cycling D Area. Here, they will complete registration and receive a safety briefing from the coach.
Prompt arrival is crucial to ensure attendance at the safety briefing, which is vital for the safety and security of all participants.
Here are some guidelines to ensure you are appropriately dressed for your track session:
- It's advisable to dress in two layers of clothing, particularly on the upper body.
- Padded cycle shorts can enhance your comfort while riding the track by reducing friction and providing extra cushioning.
- Helmets are mandatory for all riders. MTB peaks must be removed before the session. Helmets are provided with bike hire free of charge.
- Loose clothing poses a risk of snagging on objects during riding. Please wear fitted bottoms and tuck away any shoelaces, into your shoes or socks.
- All bikes at the track require KEO cleated shoes which can be rented in various sizes. Alternatively, riders may opt to use their own KEO cleated shoes.
- Gloves or track mitts are mandatory. Riders can bring their own or purchase them from reception.
