Newport Live has launched a new programme of activity to support people aged 60 and older to stay active and connected. This includes a schedule of Low Intensity Training which will be posted weekly on Newport Live Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The new sessions are tailored specifically for people aged 60 and older, although they are also suitable for others who have had their access to physical activity restricted due to local guidelines and lockdowns. You can also find activity of a medium and higher intensity on our YouTube channel ranging from HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) to Zumba delivered by our fitness team and class instructors.
More programmes are set to be introduced over the coming weeks along with sessions on:
· Health and nutrition tips
· Making exercise achievable
· Measuring physical and psychological progress
· Virtual coffee mornings
