Redbros Custom Clothing was born from a simple idea: every cyclist deserves high-quality kit without the pro-only price tag. For James, that vision started on the wooden boards of Wales National Velodrome — the place where he first fell in love with track cycling, trained as an international rider, and built lifelong connections.
After racing across Europe, he discovered a gap in the market: the best fabrics and performance gear were reserved for elite teams with deep budgets, while clubs and communities had to settle for less. Determined to change that, he learned the trade inside out, and built Redbros with a personal approach, working one-to-one with riders and clubs to create kit that reflects their identity.
Today, that journey has come full circle. In partnership with Newport Live and the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales, Redbros delivers clothing crafted from the finest Italian fabrics, blending durability, comfort, and performance. More than just kit, it’s about pride, community, and giving every rider the chance to feel like a pro.

In 2018 the velodrome was renamed the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales after Geraint became the first Welshman to win the world’s most famous cycling road race, the Tour de France. He has strong links with the Velodrome; having trained there ahead of winning gold on the track in the Men’s Team Pursuit in both the 2008 and 2012 summer Olympics.
The Velodrome is home to our 250-meter oval shaped track with 42-degree banking at either end, our Indoor Group Cycling Studio and the outdoor speedway cycling track (hosting Newport Cycle Speedway Club). The velodrome also has a fully equipped gym, group exercise studio, free weights gym, multi-purpose indoor sports arena and 3G football pitches.

Track Cycling
We host track cycling from sessions for beginners to National and International competitions for talented young riders and adults.
Indoor Group Cycling
The Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales is home to our state-of-the-art Indoor Group Cycling studio housing 40 award-winning Tomahawk IC7 bikes. In addition, from September 2025 we have introduced Les Mills RPM and Sprint classes too!
Children's Cycling
We offer a range of cycling activities for children, from teaching them to ride a bike to getting them on the velodrome track.
Gym
The Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales has a fully equipped gym, free weights room and climbing wall complete with steam room and sauna.
