Live at The Riverfront is back this February at the slightly altered date of Friday 4 February in order to mark Welsh Language Music Day.

Join us at The Riverfront from 6-10pm and prepare to be entertained at our FREE, informal and relaxed live music event.

Performing will be:

Roughion

Two male musicians sitting on steps

Roughion are a duo currently making significant waves out of Aberystwyth. Representing Welsh language in the club scene Roughion have remixed and collaborated with artists like Mei Gwynedd, De Louet, MC Elijah Black and Dafydd Hedd  - they also feature audio samples from historical Welsh language speeches in their distinctly electronic music. The Roughion sound is contemporary and fresh and it isn’t afraid to experiment with style and genre, it’s dance music - but not as you know it! Expect drum&bass, house, and strong indy vibes from the giants of Welsh language dance music

Dafydd Hedd

Dafydd Hedd is currently busy forging himself a well deserved path into the Welsh and UK music scene. Dafydd is young but he’s already accomplished a significant body of work. With high production values and a high work rate Dafydd is living in Bristol and taking his Welsh language music to audiences across the channel. Dafydd Hedd is talented and brave, and more than worthy of your attention. This hard working youngster is definitely one to watch. Expect soaring gritty vocals and distorted grunge guitars from this pioneering singer songwriter

Here is a sample of Dafydd's performance: https://youtu.be/tmLzu5ipfgk

Details of the other two performers to follow.
