Momentwm participants, Walk Leaders and the wider Newport community
Description of the Role
- Support the delivery of safe, welcoming and inclusive group walks.
- Help participants feel confident, connected and encouraged to take part in physical activity.
Main Activities
- Welcome participants and assist with registration where required.
- Support Walk Leaders during walks by helping with group management and participant engagement.
- Encourage conversation and social interaction among participants.
- Help promote upcoming walks and Momentwm activities within the community.
- Report any concerns, incidents or safeguarding issues to the designated lead.
- Assist with setting up and packing away any equipment or resources.
Skills & Qualities Needed (Expectations)
- Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- An interest in health, wellbeing and supporting local communities.
- Comfortable walking for the duration of the session.

Minimum Age
16 Years
DBS Check
Volunteer DBS check for those 16+ will be provided
Training Provided
- Dependant of experience, discussed with individual
- Walk Leaders
Dress Code
- Dress appropriately for the session / weather
- Comfortable footwear
