Description of the Role

Support the delivery of inclusive sport and physical activity sessions and events across Newport, helping create welcoming environments that encourage participation.

Main Activities

  • Assist with session setup/pack down;
  • welcome participants;
  • support coaching staff;
  • help with basic administration;
  • encourage engagement;
  • ensure safe environment.

Additional Information

Minimum Age

14 years

DBS Check

Volunteer DBS check for those 16+ will be provided

Training Provided

Sport Leaders 1 and level 2. Disability inclusion training.

Dress Code

  • Dress appropriately for the session / weather
  • Comfortable footwear

Support and Supervision

  • A designated person will be assigned to you as your main contact for your shift
  • You will be provided with all equipment needed for the role
