Meet Jonathan - Head of 11-16 Performance Tennis at Newport Live

  • He has over 20 years coaching experience based within UK and abroad, including Australia, Spain, Portugal. 
  • LTA Level 4 Senior Performance Coach 
  • He has represented Wales at Four Nations within the +35 2017 and +45 age groups 2026 
  • Still actively competes on the ITF World Masters Tour. 

 

Jon’s Role at Newport Live is to : 

 

  • Oversee the 11-16 Performance programme, and ensure a smooth transition for players moving from the U10 Youth programme 
  • To provide an indoor training environment for players looking to compete regularly within area
  • To ensure the players and parents aspirations are met 
  • To provide opportunities for more players to compete in external competitions and to maximise their potential. 

Who is the Programme for? 

The 11-16 Performance programme is aimed at players who are committed to competing regularly, within at least Grade 5 events or above.
