Catch the Momentwm Bike Bus!

Thinking about cycling to work but not sure where to start? The Momentwm Bike Bus is here to help! Starting Monday 1st September 2025, this monthly group ride offers a safe, supportive, and fun way to commute by bike.

What Is the Bike Bus?

The Bike Bus is a group of riders who follow a set route—just like a regular bus! You can “hop on” at a stop near your home and “hop off” near your destination. It’s a great way to build confidence, meet fellow commuters, and enjoy the benefits of cycling without going it alone.

When & Where?

  • Runs: First Monday of every month (September to November and resumng again in March 2026)

  • Route: Starts in Cardiff, passes through Rumney, St Mellon’s, Imperial Park, and Newport City Centre, finishing at the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales

  • Led by: Willoughby from the Momentwm Team – a passionate and experienced ride leader

Who Can Join?

  • Open to everyone aged 16+

What You’ll Need

  • A working bicycle

  • Bike lights (for visibility)

  • Water, helmet, and hi-viz clothing recommended

  • Optional: snacks, medications, and a positive attitude!

How do I join?
The Momentwm Bike Bus is free, you can email or book your spot on our website or app so we know to expect you or just turn up at the designated "bus stop" and join the group when it passes. Stay behind the ride leader and keep a safe distance.

Yes! The route is risk-assessed and led by a trained leader with first aid and tools.

Will I be able to keep up?
Absolutely. The pace is slow and steady—this is a bike bus, not a race.
