Due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, Newport Live’s indoor venues remain closed to the public until further notice. Whilst gyms, leisure centres and pools were permitted to open in England from 25th July, this does not apply to Wales and we are waiting on an update from the Welsh Government on when we are permitted to re-open. We would like to thank all our customers for the messages of support and your understanding during this unprecedented time.
Please find below an update on our services.

Memberships including Integrated Swim and Tennis Programme

If you have a membership with Newport Live, these were automatically frozen from the day we closed, this applies to monthly, fixed term and annual members. Although outdoor classes and courts are now available, these are Pay and Play only and memberships remain frozen due to our limited offer.

We will not be collecting any direct debits during our period of enforced closure and we will update you ahead of any changes. When we are in a position to reopen our facilities and unfreeze our memberships, if you are shielding or do not feel ready to return to exercise, there will be an option to freeze your membership until you are ready to return.

Swimming Lessons

All swimming lessons following our closure remain frozen and existing credits will remain in place until we are able to resume lessons. For those of you with a direct debit for swimming lessons, you do not need to take any action.  We will not be collecting any direct debits during our period of enforced closure. Once we are in a position to reopen we will make you aware of our start up processes together with when we are able to welcome you back and to restart your swimming lessons with us.

Bookings and Pre-booked Events

One of our team will be in touch with any customers who have pre-booked activities or sessions across all our venues. We ask customers to be patient with us during this time as we have very large volumes to deal with, a reduced workforce and limited access to our systems.

Performances at The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre

For shows up to August, we have contacted the majority of our bookers via email and phone to give you updates on your ticketing options, but for some customers the details we hold on file for you are either incorrect or outdated. If you have yet to hear from us please email enquiries@newportlive.co.uk

Rescheduled shows

The below shows have been rescheduled. If you have tickets booked for any of these events, we will automatically transfer tickets across to the new date and your tickets will remain valid and your seat numbers will be the same. Just make a note of the new date (you can write this on your tickets if you already have them). If you cannot make this date please let us know and we will issue you a full refund. At present the theatre remains closed meaning we are unable to post tickets for any of our future shows.

Whilst the theatre is looking to move as many scheduled performances as possible to new dates, as these are not currently confirmed, all customers will be offered a full refund. Customers are asked not to contact the theatre and anyone who has tickets to a performance will be contacted via email or phone with details about how to obtain their refund, credit or to donate to the theatre if they wish.

Gift Vouchers

If you have purchased gift vouchers which you have yet to redeem, we will add an extension to the date on these so they can be used when we reopen.
If your voucher had been used to book an activity which was due to take place during our enforced closure period, once we reopen, we will be in contact to re-arrange your activity.
If your voucher had been used to book a performance at the theatre which has subsequently been cancelled the value of voucher will be held on your account to use for future bookings.
