Newport Live is looking to recruit a Casual Track Cycling Coach to augment the provision of high-quality coaching to a range of cycling groups who attend Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales.

We are looking for proactive and enthusiastic track cycling coaches who are inspirational and passionate about the sport of cycling.

Coaching activities range from taster sessions for youth beginners, accreditation pathways through to adult cycling clubs looking for a new experience. Experienced track riders aiming for fitness gains or skill development in advance of major events are also in need of high-quality coaching and opportunities to access track time.

A variety of coaching opportunities are available to the successful candidate. The sessions available are posted monthly and shared between a small pool of coaches.

The successful candidate should have experience of delivering track cycling sessions across a range of adult and youth groups in an indoor Velodrome environment, while holding all relevant coaching qualifications. An extensive knowledge and practical application of coaching methods, health and safety and athlete progression will also be required in addition to the passion for making each session a high-quality memorable experience.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.
