Newport Live and The Riverfront are thrilled to be bringing the Big Splash festival back to Newport this 23 & 24 July.

We’re looking for community groups and artists who would like to perform as part of the community stage!

If you’re a local choir, dance group, musician or other performer and would like to be on the community stage then please get in touch as we’d love to showcase you or your organisation.

Newport Live is committed to representing as diverse a group of communities as possible. We expressly seek and encourage applications from all genders, age ranges, Welsh language performers, people with disabilities and representatives from LGBTQ+ communities and global majorities.

 

We will provide:

  •  Performance space – Prolyte 6x4 covered stage with steel deck at 1.2m

  • PA and Monitoring provided

  • Basic Lighting

  • Backline provided (but must be booked in advance)

  • Drum Kit, Bass Combo, 2x Guitar Combos, Keyboard

 

All acts will be required to supply:

  • Valid and sufficient insurance cover

  • A risk assessment          

  • A valid DBS if working with young or vulnerable people

  • If children are performing, you will require the appropriate license (BOPA)

  • Any equipment must be PAT tested

 

Each act can be from15-45 minutes in length. You should be available on 23 or 24 July 2022.
