The Wales National Velodrome in Newport is Wales’ official national Velodrome, home to Welsh Cycling and hosts national and international competitions, including use by British Cycling for practice sessions.
The Wales National Velodrome hosted Team GB and Paralympic GB as they prepared for the Olympic and Paralympic games in Rio 2016, London 2012, Beijing 2008 and Athens in 2004. In summer 2012 the Australian and USA Paralympic cycling teams also trained in Newport ahead of the London Paralympic Games.
At Wales National Velodrome you can have a go yourself at cycling the track on one of our beginner’s sessions or in a taster session. Visit the cycling page to find out more about courses on offer, timetables and more.
