Do you need help improving your serve, forehand or backhand or simply want to learn the sport of kings? We offer sessions for beginners, intermediate and advanced players throughout the week on our indoor and outdoor courts.
There are plenty of fun, social ways to play tennis and take advantage of all the sport has to offer at Newport Tennis Centre. Our facilities allow for play all year round you’ll be sure to find a worthy opponent around the centre or at one of our social tennis evenings.
Players of all abilities are welcome to join our social tennis evenings. These must be booked in advance.

1 to 1 Lessons
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we can help you improve your game!
1 to 1 lessons are a great way to learn and develop your game on a one-to-one basis or with friends. Helping you build up technique and consistency in your game.
Our coaches are fully LTA accredited and can deliver lessons to members and non-members, tailoring sessions to develop those areas of your game most important to you.
If you have never played tennis before, or haven’t played in a long time, then Tennis Xpress is for you. It is an easy and fun way for adult beginners to get into the game.
During the six-week course you will be taught new skills and be shown how to serve, rally and score, by the end, you will be able to enjoy fun matches with your friends, family or a fellow tennis player.

Cardio tennis is a great way to stay in shape, work your muscles and improve your tennis skills along the way!
Using tennis based drills and exercise set to pumping music, these 60 minutes sessions will see you get the chance to hit lots of shots mixed with a variety of fitness activities before cooling down to end the session.
With six to eight players per court, it’s a fun, high intensity workout that’s great for improving your general fitness. Open to people of all ages and abilities.
