As a not-for-profit distribution organisation and registered charity, any surplus money that we make at Newport Live is reinvested into the programmes, services and facilities we provide.
We work hard to operate as efficiently as possible, reducing and absorbing rising costs wherever we can, while still delivering the high-quality services you expect. However, with ongoing increases in operating costs and reduced funding support, we will be introducing a price rise from 1 April 2026.
Even with this adjustment, we’re confident our services continue to offer excellent value for money and will support our members, customers and supporters every step of the way, on their health and wellness journey.

Major Facility Improvements across our venues includes the resurfacing of the velodrome track at the Geraint Thomas Velodrome, replacing the Active Living Centre’s Sports Hall floor, upgrading the 3G pitches at Newport International Sports Village and the Active Living Centre, and installing a new cinema projector at The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre to enhance our popular cinema programme.

A new city centre leisure and wellbeing facility is coming soon, opening late 2026 / early 2027, with more details to be shared throughout the year.
