Alternative Education Programme - Reopening

Newport Live will be welcoming back it’s Alternative Education Programme following the reopening of schools from Monday 29th June. The team will be following the key message from Welsh Government by providing a vital “Check in, Catch up, Prepare for summer and September” function for our young people and their families.

The team are looking forward to providing a friendly, safe and socially distanced environment that provides opportunities for personalised social and emotional wellbeing support in addition to building resilience following extended periods of isolation and addressing any barriers to continued learning.
All of our young people will have access to a minimum of 7.5 hours of contact time per week in addition to digital support where necessary, to ensure our learners remain connected, engaged and inspired.

Throughout the summer the staff will be working tirelessly to prepare and embed an inspiring and engaging programme ready for September which will pay particular attention to enhancing life skills, community engagement and educational attainment.
