We are looking to recruit trainee swimming teachers to join our Swimming Team based at the Regional Pool and Tennis Centre & Active Living Centre programmes.

All candidates will receive access to a fully funded Swim Wales teacher training programme to support your development in addition to being assigned an experienced teacher as mentor. The trainee programme will support all aspects of your training needs to develop confident and competent swimming teachers.

Upon completion of the training programme, you will hold a minimum of an ASA/STA Level 1 Swim Teachers qualification along with the relevant experience within coaching, demonstrating ability to deliver high quality swimming lessons to young people and adults across a wide range of abilities. 

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Tuesday 10th August 4pm-8:30pm - Theory

Wednesday 11th August 4pm-7:45pm - Theory

Thursday 12th August 4pm-6:30pm – Practical

Friday 13th August 4pm-6:30pm – Practical

Tuesday 17th August 4pm-7:15pm – Theory

Wednesday 18th August 4pm-7:15pm – Theory

Thursday 19th August 4pm-6:30pm – Practical

Friday 20th August 4pm-6:30pm – Practical

Tuesday 24th August 4pm-8:30pm - Theory

*Following course completion all candidates are required to achieve 30 hours of voluntary teaching assigned to our professional teaching team members for ongoing support and development.
