We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual, who is passionate about sport, physical activity, and wellbeing; ideally who has demonstrable working experience from within the sports development, education, health and wellbeing, or sport for development sector.
The role is varied and exciting, and will regularly engage children, young people, families, adults, and underrepresented groups to participate in sport and physical activity, whilst supporting the development and sustainability of local sports clubs, community sport spaces, facilities, and hubs, and the development and strengthening of local sporting pathways, working collaboratively with a wide range of sporting and non-sporting partners.
The post is fixed term until 31st March 2023 (Sport Wales), with possible extension subject to further grant agreements; working 37 hours per week flexibly, mainly Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work. You would be based at one of our facilities with the agility to work across Newport leading and supporting a wide range of exciting projects, activities, and events.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to a successful Disclosing and Barring Service (DBS) check.
