We are looking for a Stage Manager to join the team on 'Bitcoin Boi' a new play with music, written by Catherine Dyson, directed my Hannah McPake, with composition by Dyfan Jones. 'Bitcoin Boi' is a co-production with The Riverfront Theatre & Arts Centre and has been funded by the Arts Council of Wales. Following two successful R&D phases, we are excited to complete creation of the show and open the full production at both The Riverfront and Met Abertillery this summer.

About the show

‘Bitcoin Boi’ is the story of a young girl on a quest for a mythical lost fortune that promises to save herself and her mother from the life they’re stuck in.

Part modern fairy-tale, part sales pitch for a new crypto utopia, this new play with music explores themes of loss, hope, and the dreams that we are sold.

The original inspiration for this show came from a local news story about a Newport man who accidentally lost a bitcoin fortune, which is still buried deep in the city’s landfill site.

A story that begins in Newport, then crosses borders and worlds, from pirate ships to pioneers, gaming to the Gold Rush, dump trucks to the dark web - an epic quest & story for our times.

What are we looking for?

What do we really value?

And does everything sound better in Pirate?
