This February, The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre are delighted to be supporting the Our Voice Network’s annual informal sharing ‘Our Voice 2023’ at The Riverfront on Saturday 25th February with British Sign Language interpretation by Nez Parr throughout.
Without risk, art cannot innovate; it cannot develop and the artist cannot realise their full potential. Our Voice 2023 sharing allows artists to take risks in a room full of people there to engage in the process, not simply to watch a production.
This sharing will be a space to platform artists, and bring people together to connect and discuss their passion for the arts and culture.
Our Voice 2023 sharing artists are: Our Voice Bursary recipients Karema Ahmed, singer-songwriter, and Stephanie Stevens, actor, writer, singer; alongside actor and writer Nadia Nur; and dancer, choreographer, writer, and Our Voice Network founder Krystal S. Lowe.
All ticket income goes toward funding the work of Our Voice Network | Rhwydwaith Ein Llais.
Our Voice Network | Rhwydwaith Ein Llais exists to empower, develop, and platform artists of the Global Majority through professional development opportunities, showcasing events, and bursaries. Visit krystalslowe.com/our-voice-network for more information.
Krystal S. Lowe comments, ‘Each of us artists will share a piece of unfinished, unrefined art through singing, acting, and/or dancing – this is all work we’ve written and developed ourselves. I created this annual sharing event to create a space for artists to share the process of their work instead of the final product; and for those who love art to have a relaxed space to explore alongside artists with a cup of tea and a chat along the way!’
Our Voice 2023 sharing takes place in The Riverfront’s Studio Theatre on Saturday 25th February at 6.00pm. Tickets are available now by calling 01633 656757 or click here.
