RAPUNZEL - Riverfront Panto 2025/26
Join us for The Riverfront’s first ever production of Rapunzel, an enchanting tale where magic and mischief weave together!
Wicked sorceress Ceridwen casts a dark spell over Newport and traps Rapunzel in a tower deep in the Welsh forest. On the eve of her 21st birthday, Rapunzel meets Hector, sets about her escape and the adventure begins. Can the spell be broken before time runs out, or will Ceridwen claim the royal throne and rule Newport forever?
Join Rapunzel, Muddles, Dame Winnie Wiggins, our brave hero Hector, and a charming cast in this action-packed pantomime, where towers are tall, spells are wicked, and adventures are hair-raising! With dazzling costumes, stunning scenery, mischievous villains, and plenty of audience participation.

On Friday 5 December at 7pm and Friday 2 January at 1.30pm & 5.30pm tickets are £18 with no further discounts
Accessible performances
British Sign Language: BSL performances will take place on Saturday 13 December (1:30pm & 5:30pm) and Friday 2 January (1:30pm & 5.30pm).
Audio Described: The 5.30pm performance on Monday 29 December will be Audio Described, for blind customers and customers with low vision.
Relaxed Performance: Our relaxed performance show will take place on Monday 29 December at 5:30pm. For this performance, we will lower the sound and remove any loud bangs and strobe lighting. The auditorium lights will stay on at a low level throughout the performance. You are free to move around or leave and re-enter as needed.
Instalments
We're offering a split-payment option for select performances – book now and pay in two parts. You can secure your pantomime ticket from just £9 per person, and pay the rest by 31 October 2025. Instalment plans are available for the following performances:
Sat 29 Nov, Fri 5 Dec, Sat 6 Dec, Fri 12 Dec, Sat 13 Dec, Fri 2 Jan, Sat 3 Jan & Sun 4 Jan.
But beware... if the final payment isn’t made by 31 October, the wicked sorceress may lock your booking away forever!
