community arts development
The Community Arts Development team aims to provide creative opportunities for people of all ages within the many communities of Newport and the surrounding areas through co-ordinating many different arts projects, events, activities and workshops.
Big annual projects for the team include the International Women’s Day celebration events, co-ordinating family hub Splashtonbury during Big Splash festival and organising an indoor craft market during Art on the Hill. Visit our Festival & Events page to find out what the team are up to.
The team have forged and maintain partnerships with a number of stakeholders in Newport and the surrounding areas including organisations in the voluntary sector, community organisations and groups, schools and Newport City Council departments such as Youth Services, Social Services, YOT, and Community Development.
If you have a project that you want to discuss or for more information on current projects, please contact our Community Arts Development Officer Sally-Anne Evans on firstname.lastname@example.org.
